When networks fail, phones can still find each other.
Apocalive connects two iPhones directly — no internet, no cell service, no account. Chat and talk the moment you connect, and on UWB iPhones follow a live arrow with exact distance to the person trapped.

How a rescue works
Three steps. No setup, no account, no signal.
Both phones open Apocalive.
The person trapped taps “I need rescue”. Anyone nearby taps “I’m here to help”. There’s also a one-tap SOS control for Control Center.
They find each other — directly.
The phones connect over Bluetooth and peer-to-peer Wi-Fi. No tower, no router, no internet — the phones are the network.
Follow the arrow.
Chat and talk instantly. On iPhones with Apple’s UWB chip, the rescuer sees the exact distance and a live arrow pointing toward the victim — precise enough to know where to dig.
Precision that points through rubble.
Apocalive uses Ultra Wideband — Apple’s NearbyInteraction — to measure the straight-line distance between two iPhones and the direction to walk, updated live down to a tenth of a meter. When the rescuer gets close, the victim’s phone can automatically sound its siren.
Distance and direction stay live on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island — even with the app in the background.
Built for the worst day.
Every tool is designed to be used by cold, injured, or gloved hands — oversized controls, high contrast, no clutter.
Chat & voice, offline
Text and talk directly between phones the moment they connect. No SIM, no Wi-Fi network, no account.
Sound Beacon
A loud siren rescuers can home in on — it can trigger automatically when a rescuer gets close. Or let it speak for you: typed messages read aloud, recorded clips, even your own Personal Voice.
Flashlight SOS
The torch flashes Morse SOS for you — visible signaling in the dark when shouting doesn’t work.
One tap from Control Center
Add the “Apocalive SOS” control. One press makes your phone discoverable — even faster than finding the app.
Rescue profile
Blood type, medication, and a note for rescuers — shown to the people who find you.
Private by design
Connections are direct, phone to phone. No servers, no accounts, no tracking — this site doesn’t track you either.
Free. All of it.
Rescue features shouldn’t sit behind a paywall. Every feature is included, for everyone, forever. If Apocalive matters to you, you can leave a tip in the app’s Settings to support development.
Download it before you need it.
After a major earthquake, cell networks are often overloaded or down — exactly when people need them most. Apocalive needs nothing but the phones themselves. But it can only help if it’s already installed.
- Install Apocalive on your family’s iPhones It works phone-to-phone — everyone needs it installed.
- Open it once and approve the permission prompts Local Network, Microphone, Camera — every prompt costs time in an emergency.
- Add the SOS control to Control Center One press makes your phone discoverable, even from the Lock Screen.
- Fill in your rescue profile Blood type and a note for the people who find you.
Questions, answered.
Does it really work with no internet or cell service?
Yes. The phones link directly to each other over Bluetooth and peer-to-peer Wi-Fi. No tower, no router, no internet is involved.
How far does it reach?
It depends on the environment — typically tens of meters in the open, less through concrete and rubble. Once phones are in range, the siren, flashlight, and arrow take over.
Which iPhones show the distance and arrow?
iPhones with Apple’s UWB chip — iPhone 11 and later, excluding iPhone SE — on both ends. Without it, chat and voice still work.
Is it really free?
Yes. Every rescue feature is included for everyone. Tips are optional and unlock nothing.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, no phone number, and no profile server.
What about privacy?
Everything is device-to-device. There are no servers, no accounts, and no location history. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Does it replace calling 911?
No. Apocalive is a supplement for when networks fail — always try your local emergency services first.
